We have shown that our blend of marine ingredients in Sashas Blend™ is efficacious for the management of inflammation. If you do not feel you are getting the results from Sashas Blend™ as a standalone treatment, then we would recommend you trial our new generation treatment 4CYTE™ Canine. 4CYTE™ is a more potent anti-inflammatory and has been shown to be as strong as a Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory drug after 14 days of use.

4CYTE™ still contains the same base of marine derived actives as Sashas Blend™ but has a new plant seed derived active EPIITALIS^®. The inclusion of  EPIITALIS^® provides a far more potent anti-inflammatory action and has been demonstrated to proliferate cartilage cells (repair cartilage) in an inflamed environment.

Sashas Blend™ contains marine ingredients and very rarely we see dogs that have an intolerance to shellfish and may display this as diarrhoea or vomiting. If this is the case, we advise that you cease use. Some owners are willing to wait a week or two before reintroducing Sashas Blend™ slowly to rule out other possible causes of the diarrhoea. If the diarrhoea or vomiting presents again, we suggest Sashas Blend™ is not suitable for your dog.

If this is the scenario for your dog you may like to try 4CYTE™ EPIITALIS^® FORTE Dog which contains only plant based EPIITALIS^® as the active ingredient, comes in a gel presentation and can be fed with food or syringed directly into the dog’s mouth.

Sashas Blend™ has been on the market for over 2 decades and in this time has caused little cause for concern in dogs. Intolerances to marine components may cause minor stomach upsets for approximately 1% of dogs but this is quickly rectified by ceasing use. As a matter of safety, Interpath is required to report any suspected reactions to the veterinary regulatory body so please report any adverse reactions to your vet or by contacting us directly.

Sashas Blend™ obviously has benefits for older animals or those suffering from joint conditions; however, it also works fantastically as a preventative in younger or active animals that may be prone to joint problems later on in life, especially the larger breed dogs. At half dose it is a very economical way to ensure your pets wellbeing and quality of life while providing many of the nutrients vital to maintaining healthy joint function.

Sashas Blend™ products are now one of the best researched joint treatments available and while there is no miracle cure for joint conditions or a treatment that will fix the issue overnight, our scientifically backed products work at the site of the problem by treating the illness not just the symptoms.

As your dog ages their joints may well be starting to deteriorate. Sashas Blend™ will help maintain the joint fluid (known as Synovial Fluid) that cushions the joints. The Synovial fluid is important for healthy joint function as it provides lubrication to the joint, supplies nutrients to the cartilage, provides impact protection for the joint and removes waste from the cartilage. Maintaining the Synovial Fluid should make getting up from laying position much easier and will keep the cartilage in the joint healthy.

Sashas Blend™ also suppresses the production of Nitric Oxide, which is a major chemical responsible for pain, and the breakdown of a healthy joint.
